Week 1: A sunken warship

Arond the end of last month, May, there was a terrible naval disaster in Korea. There was an inexplicable in the sea. The warship is said to have crossed the naval border line that divides South Korea and North Korea. The warship splitted in half, and more than 40 people died.

I personally had many thoughts in my mind. For one thing, I was in Korea when this terrible incident took place. It was late at night. There were all the TV shows on air. However, when the latest news regarding the sunken warship by some sort of explosion. Of course, at that point, there was not anything clear about the event. Even the number of the victims was not clear.

The next day, South Korea went through the longest day in the last several months. A lot of military experts suggested that it is likely that the torpedo, which they claim is the cause of the explosion, is from North Korea. Myoung Bak Lee, the president of South Korea, announced that South Korea will have a sort of military reaction.

In contrast to what people said that the fact that torpedo was shot from North Korea was merely a conspiracy theory, there are many suspicious movements in North Korea. There is a North Korean general who is in charge of naval force, recently got a promotion. Personally, I am afraid that the terrible incident will entail worse disasters in the future.
